First Hill: they don't stop coming

TweakerVille

A street drug called Tweak has torn through the Pacific Northwest. Hold the line, take the city back block by block, or get in and get out with what you can carry. Solo or with friends, on real streets.

The concept

Tweak changed everything

It started as a cheap street drug. Now whole neighborhoods are gone to it. The people on Tweak, the Tweakers, are fast, violent and past reasoning with. First Hill General is still standing, and a handful of doctors and outreach workers are trying to pull the city back from the edge.

That's where you come in. Burn the supply and the streets start to come down. Set up an outreach point and a block belongs to the living again. Take the next one and it gets harder.

"These are people."Marcus Webb, outreach, Liberation campaign

Think round-based zombie co-op, extraction shooter and open-world liberation in one game, played on a map built from real street, terrain and building data. If you know Seattle, you'll know where you are.

  • Group chats with your friends, right in the Social menu
  • Leaderboards for Survival rounds, Tweakers stopped, best Extraction haul, districts liberated and level, global or friends only

  • Joining a friend on a different version now explains what to update instead of just failing
  • Map fixes install automatically along with game updates
  • Fixed: sitting on the home screen could leave the menu stuck behind the background pictures
v0.4.4November 2, 2026
  • The drug is now called Tweak, and the kit that brings Tweakers down is Anti-Tweak
  • Churches, schools, daycares, clinics, shelters and other community places are never raided, looted or used as objectives, and raid sites keep their distance from them
  • Search prompts in Extraction say what's in a crate, not whose building it's next to

  • The Buy Station and Overclock bench at First Hill moved out of the medical tent into a separate supply depot
  • Street graffiti and posters reworded to match
v0.4.3November 2, 2026
  • Real brand names on storefronts, signs, map labels and mission text are replaced with invented ones across Seattle and Puget Sound
  • Brand logos removed from vehicles, a rifle, the vending machine, the payphone and a character's shirt
  • The hospital safehouse is now First Hill General, and the market, the old tower and the mall get new names too
  • Light rail and bus lines use plain names
  • An installed Puget Sound map picks up small fixes on its own (about 50 MB this time) instead of downloading the whole map again
v0.4.2November 2, 2026
  • Buy stations show a picture of every gun, supply and perk, with its stats beside it
  • Create-a-class shows each weapon, lethal, tactical, field upgrade and perk as a picture with its numbers, and the Play screen shows your loadout
  • Survival wall buys and perk machines show the item and its stats when you walk up
  • Stash items have pictures
  • Ferries rebuilt in much more detail: parked cars with wheels and lights, deck markings, fire gear, a galley with a menu board, sailing screens, lifejacket bins, restrooms, stair handrails, sun deck benches, and outside, wheelhouse lights and searchlights, rescue boats on davits, roof machinery, portholes and draft marks
  • Every distance and speed reads in feet, yards, miles and mph
  • The version number now shows on the game's home screen and on this site
v0.4.1November 2026
  • Map downloads now fetch three files at once and read in larger chunks. Your connection is still the main limit, so don't expect a big speed jump
  • The installer uses stronger compression
v0.4.0November 1, 2026
  • First public version
  • New map: Puget Sound, 27 by 33 miles from Seattle to Tacoma and Bremerton to Bellevue
  • Walk-on ferries across the Sound, paid fast travel from the map in Liberation, and GPS across the whole region

  • Windows installer, and Update now in the game
Pre-releaseOctober 2026
  • Transit: fares, monorail stations, walkable underground light rail stations with arrival boards, moving escalators and better vehicle interiors
  • Interiors: thousands of enterable buildings, furniture by business type, swinging doors, loot cages and roof ladders with caches
  • Map: better tower glass and lighting, First Hill elevation fixes, walkable piers, the SoDo port and parking lots
  • Gameplay: first-play hints, supply drops, Play again, fewer stutters in fights, level-matched Extraction drops and a clearer route guide

We know

Known bugs

This is an early build, and things will look rough in places. Last reviewed for v0.5.0.

Watching
Rare stuck rides

Automated tests have occasionally seen a ferry or streetcar ride fail, then pass on retry. We haven't pinned down the cause.

Open
Bumps on raised roads in Puget Sound

20 of the 385 joins between map sections have a step over 1 m, so some bridges and raised roads will jolt you.

Untested
Puget Sound co-op and regional transit

Co-op on this map and its regional trains and buses haven't been tested yet. Driving across the north and south edges of Seattle isn't confirmed either.

Limit
Puget Sound content is thinner outside Seattle

Missions and Extraction loot containers stay mostly in Seattle for now.

Open
Some online connections fail

Strict or corporate networks can block a friend from connecting. Use Tailscale and Join by IP instead.

Open
Sunken streets near First Hill

James Street still sits well below the real ground where it passes under I-5.

Open
Road paint glitches

Some junctions show stray yellow marks, and some bike lanes have jagged green edges.

Open
Rough world details

Some piers look like earth mounds with no pilings, and some retaining walls and garage faces look flat.

Limit
Below 90 FPS on integrated graphics

About 72 to 87 FPS at 1080p on our Intel laptop once it's warm, with dips while a new map section loads. Try Low quality or a lower Render scale.

Limit
Windows warning on install

The installer isn't code signed yet, so SmartScreen may warn you. See Install below.

Before you drop in

Player notes

The things worth knowing before your first match.

New here? Start with Survival

You'll pick up guns, points and upgrades in one small area before the open world opens up.

Extraction is for keeps

Die out there and your backpack is gone. Only what you bring out on the helicopter goes to your Stash.

Liberate for fast travel

In Liberation, each district you free gives you a resupply point and a fast travel stop.

Carry Anti-Tweak

In Liberation and Extraction, press heal at full health with an Anti-Tweak Kit to subdue every Tweaker within 25 ft.

Join before the match starts

Friends can't drop in once a match is running. They'll need to wait until it ends.

Playing with friends

Quick Match finds a public party. Create online party gives you a 6-letter code. Add friends with your 8-letter Friend code under Social.

Need more frames?

Go to Settings, then Graphics, and lower Quality or Render scale. Press F3 in game to see your FPS.

Puget Sound takes room

The map is an 8.3 GB download. You can stop anytime and it picks up where it left off.

BETA

Before you download

TweakerVille is in beta, made by one person, and free. I haven't bought a code-signing certificate yet, so Windows doesn't recognise me as a publisher. That's why your browser and Windows will warn you about the file. Here is exactly what you'll see and how to get past it.

What the warning means

Code signing is a paid certificate (a few hundred dollars a year) that stamps an app with a verified publisher name. Windows SmartScreen also trusts files that lots of people have already downloaded. A new, unsigned game has neither, so Windows plays it safe and asks you first. The warning isn't saying it found anything wrong. It's saying it doesn't know who made the file yet.

1. Keep the download

  1. Microsoft Edge: if it says the file "isn't commonly downloaded", hover the download, click ··· then Keep. If it asks again, click Show more then Keep anyway.
  2. Chrome: if it says the file may be dangerous or is uncommon, open the downloads list and click Keep (or Download suspicious file).
  3. Firefox: it usually downloads straight away.

2. Run the installer

  1. Open TweakerVille-Setup. If a blue box says "Windows protected your PC", click More info, then Run anyway.
  2. The installer puts the game in your user folder (no admin needed) and adds desktop and Start menu shortcuts.

Why it's unsigned, and what's next

Right now the game is new and the certificate would cost more than the game makes (it's free). If TweakerVille picks up and becomes more public, I'll get it code signed so these warnings go away. Until then, only download it from this site; every link here points to the official GitHub release.
